A Wrinkle In Time is my most favorite book in the whole world. I still have my copy from the third grade. I still remember what it felt like to read it for the first time, filled with wonder and curiosity and so many good lines.
“A book, too, can be a star, “explosive material, capable of stirring up fresh life endlessly,” a living fire to lighten the darkness, leading out into the expanding universe.”
My little third grade mind was just blown wide open with that book. Maybe it's time to read it again.
Thank you for these lovely words and the reminder of the magic of writing. <3
Jessie, I love that you still have your third grade copy! (My childhood copy--too hard to read because the pages are falling apart--has the graphic of Mrs. Whatsit in winged-creature-form on the cover!) It's really something to read it as an adult, to separate my changed attitudes/opinions from the universal truths that will endure. Thank you so much for your note!
I am typically a Sci-Fi movie & Trekkie aficionado. But after reading your post I realized that I missed watching the 2018 movie rendition of "A Wrinkle in Time". I will be watching soon "Tesseract" in action! Thanks, Dheepa.
I very much enjoyed this one. Thanks again. I have never read A Wrinkle in Time. I know I should. My kids enjoyed it. Your column has made me think about other young adult favorites. It is time to reread those, I believe.

So well expressed, Dheepa!
Thank you, Marjie!

That's great to hear--though I *really* recommend the book over the movie! Thank you so much for reading! (And I'm a sci fi fan, too!)
Lovely post, Dheepa!
Thank you so much, Barbara!
