Beautiful poem, Dheepa. I love the imagery and the metaphors. I also enjoyed the notion that your grandfather was such a mix of old and new with his hundreds of cassette tapes on which to hear his traditional Indian music. Lovely. (I would enjoy seein you cooking to thos Latin rhythms too....great image).
